About This Place

Nestled in the heart of White Plains, MD, The Prime Street Grille is a distinguished seafood restaurant and steakhouse that masterfully balances coastal flavors with hearty, classic American fare. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere strikes a warm and intimate note, perfectly suited for date nights, special occasions, or a refined casual dining experience.

At The Prime Street Grille, every dish tells a story of careful craftsmanship and quality ingredients. Their signature crab cakes, made from award-winning jumbo lump blue crab, are fried to a golden crisp and served with a tangy remoulade sauce, offering a delicate yet robust burst of the Chesapeake Bay’s finest flavors. While some diners have found the seasoning on these crab cakes a touch subtle, many return for their balanced texture and authentic taste.

The seafood offerings extend far beyond crab cakes, featuring indulgent highlights like the Fried Seafood Platter, shrimp and scallops Alfredo pasta, and Crab Imperial Topped Rockfish – each plate bursting with freshness and expertly seasoned to highlight the ocean’s bounty. The Oysters Rockefeller appetizer and Fried Calamari with a zesty lemon wedge provide the perfect start to a meal, promising crisp shells and tender, flavorful bites that awaken the palate.

For steak lovers, The Prime Street Grille delivers with unrivaled quality and cooked-to-order perfection. The 22 oz. bone-in ribeye and 6 oz. filet mignon, sourced from premium Angus beef, are consistently praised for their rich marbling and deep, savory flavor. One guest’s experience with a rare-cooked filet mignon described the dish as flawlessly prepared—not just warm, but beautifully red and juicy throughout, a testament to the kitchen’s precision and respect for the meat.

Beyond the main courses, side dishes like creamy mac and cheese, Cajun rice, broccolini, and seasonal veggies complement the plates with vibrant flavors and textures. The brown sugar pork mac & cheese is particularly indulgent, offering a smoky sweetness that perfectly balances the richness of the dish.

Desserts at The Prime Street Grille complete the experience with comforting classics such as the Apple Cinnamon Bread Pudding and the rich, custardy Crème Brûlée. For those celebrating a special occasion, the house-favorite Birthday Carrot Cake provides a sweet and memorable finale to an exceptional meal.

Many patrons have highlighted the attentive and personable service, with servers like Tim and Yani enhancing the dining experience through thoughtful recommendations and genuine hospitality. The balance of excellent food, inviting ambiance, and prompt, courteous staff makes every visit feel unique and well cared for.

In all, The Prime Street Grille is a true culinary gem of Southern Maryland—whether you’re craving perfectly grilled lamb chops drizzled with a tantalizing chipotle adobo sauce or a fresh salmon filet glazed with citrus bourbon, this spot offers a deliciously satisfying meal that resonates long after the last bite. Its blend of seafood excellence and premium steak options ensures that it stands out for anyone seeking quality, flavor, and a welcoming dining sanctuary.

What a hidden gem! This spot may be low key, but the food is absolutely top tier. There wasn’t a single thing we tried that wasn’t perfect — from the drinks to the soups, the steak, the shrimp, and the scallops, everything was seasoned and cooked beautifully. I HAVE to especially highlight the Chicken BLT Salad — hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Fresh, flavorful, and just downright delicious. It alone is worth the visit! Service was solid, atmosphere was chill, and the overall experience definitely earns a 5 out of 5 from me. Only one comment — they don’t allow you to call in a to-go order or place one in person, which is a little inconvenient. But honestly, the food is so good it’s worth sitting down for. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and want a meal that hits the spot!

The food is pretty good! The lamb chops are amazing!!!!! Super tasty and they have a chipotle sauce that it comes with a lil spicy but good! The crab cakes which they are known for were a lil disappointing they lack seasoning and taste they were also very dry. They are a tad bit pricy an entree is about 23.00-60.00. The hush puppies were really good also. The temperature of the food was hot on arrival. Our waiter was Tim he was amazing

Love this place. It's our go-to spot for date night in Southern Maryland. The service is always top notch and the food is superb. Amazing steaks cooked the way you ask, appetizers are amazing, and their crab cakes are the best around.

Tim was my server and everything was absolutely fantastic. Food was out quickly, he gave great recommendations between the rice and brussel sprouts with my filet mignon. The best part is that I ordered rare and actually received rare. It wasn't cool, but was red all the way through. Excellent flavor and everything was wonderful. If I lived in the area or frequented, I would be back as often as possible.

Prime Street Grille (4680 Crain Hwy White Plains, MD 20695) — A True Hidden Gem with Five-Star Service — We had a phenomenal midweek dinner at Prime Street Grille this past Wednesday (with a 7:15pm reservation through Resy) and from the moment we sat down, our server MJ delivered top-tier hospitality. He was warm, intuitive, and flawlessly attentive — the kind of service that instantly elevates the entire dining experience. We kicked things off with lemon drop martinis that were crisp, smooth, and perfectly balanced — not syrupy sweet like you get elsewhere. For starters, we went all in: calamari, rockfish bites, oysters Rockefeller, and the Maryland crab/cream of crab soup duo. Every bite screamed fresh and house-made. The soup was a standout — silky, rich, and full of authentic Maryland flavor — the kind that spoils you for anywhere else. For entrées, we ordered the lamb chops with Brussels sprouts (uniquely done in a slaw; amazing!) and a baked potato, the filet mignon with lobster tail (paired with creamy mashed potatoes and a refreshing tomato–cucumber–corn salad), and the crab imperial rockfish with macaroni and cheese (Gruyère cheese was tasty). Everything was cooked to perfection — tender proteins, layered flavors, extremely generous portions (we all had to-go boxes), and sides that were clearly crafted with as much care as the mains. Nothing felt like an afterthought. We ended with the bread pudding and Irish coffee — an absolutely perfect finish. The bread pudding was warm, buttery, and comforting without being overly sweet, and the Irish coffee was smooth and just boozy enough to seal the night. Prime Street Grille overdelivers in every way — from the kitchen to the service to the atmosphere. Thanks to MJ, it felt like fine dining without the pretense. This is the kind of restaurant you immediately plan to return to — and bring people you want to impress.

First time trying out the restaurant after hearing good things. Made reservations for 6/14/25, our table was ready upon arrival, our waitress Faith was pleasant and attentive to our needs, the crab dip was one of the best I've had, and everything we ordered was great. We will be regulars. I highly recommend visiting this local gem restaurant.

We celebrated our anniversary. It was a wonderful experience. Our server Diamond was excellent. We received a warm welcome as soon as we entered from the hostess.
